The Space

The Old Goat House is a charming and romantic country retreat.

Great care has been taken to retain the original character of this former barn, whilst achieving a thoroughly contemporary conversion in both style and execution.

The interiors are decorated in natural and muted shades and the rooms are light and spacious. Many hours spent combing the local brocantes, antique shops and recycleries have netted some beautiful old pieces of furniture, which have been carefully upcycled. They now have a valuable second life and blend harmoniously with new and modern pieces.

Underpinning this rustic-chic mix is a top-spec renovation, complete with two elegant air-conditioned en suite bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen.

On the mezzanine level is a minstrel’s gallery with a forged iron balcony salvaged from a local chateau. On the ground floor the open plan living and dining area opens onto a private terrace with sun loungers and covered al fresco dining area with delightful vineyard view.

Each of the two bedrooms have air conditioning and their own unique style. They both feature an antique wardrobe with plenty of hanging space (and hangars!) and a chest of drawers. A rolling barn door slides to reveal a contemporary ensuite with twin sinks, a well-lit double mirror and a large rainwater shower.
