About Us

Sarah, Tim & the story of Maison Guillaume Blanc

Passionate about this beautiful corner of southwest France and seeking new adventures, we fell in love with Maison Guillaume Blanc on our first viewing with the estate agent. Largely untouched by the former owners since the 1950’s it was a rare find indeed, and in September 2019 we moved lock, stock and barrel from our Cotswold home in the UK and set about restoring the manor house to its former glory and turning the charming old out-buildings into the kind of luxury holiday accommodation that we would like to stay in ourselves. By the spring of 2022, the renovations of the outbuildings were complete, and we were delighted to welcome out first guests.

A little bit about Maison Guillaume Blanc

Little is known about the history of the property, but we do know that the estate dates from the 1500’s when it belonged to Guillaume Blanc, a Consul of the nearby town of Sainte Foy La Grande and a prominent protestant during the wars of religion. The original house was burned down during these wars and was subsequently re-built, but the outbuildings and kitchen wing of the manor house date from this era.

Maison Guillaume Blanc is also home to Sybil, the cockapoo and our three cats Teddy, Herbert and Ernest. They are all extremely friendly and it’s highly likely that you will meet them at some stage during your stay!

We are thrilled to share this pocket of paradise with our guests, and we hope you will soon become as enamoured with this beautiful region and all it has to offer as we are
